I have iPhone 12. It didn’t mirror the screen at all. I tried returning it but apparently return is not allowed for this product. You can only get a replacement. I asked for a replacement. Even the replacement did not work.Was a complete waste of money.

Game changer when stream while campingThis product worked great!We wanted to watch the Super bowl game in the Mojave desert and this devise made it possible.I was able to stream the game off of my I-phone 13 and onto our tv and it worked perfectly. I will be buying one for home and keeping one in our RV.

Set your expectations accordinglyThis is an alternative to Apple’s Lighting to Digital AV Adapter. They look almost identical, with a Lighting plug on one end and an HDMI and Lightning plug (for power) on the other. The shape is almost identical. This one feels a little less solid, but it is much less expensive than the genuine Apple accessory.I had no issues with plugging the Lightning plug into my iPhone 13 Pro, which is in a thick Otterbox Defender case. Upon connecting it via an HDMI cable (not included) to my TV, a screen immediately appeared on the TV with a QR code to instructions and the logos of several apps that support screen mirroring. I waited a couple minutes, but the screen remained.I put my phone to sleep and turned it back on, and it successfully triggered the screen mirroring function the second time around. As I moved my phone, the screen occasionally flickered as if it had lost connectivity, but I’m not sure if that’s due to the HDMI cable (which was brand new), the HDMI port on my TV (which is not brand new), or the adapter.From there, screen mirroring worked fine. Note that you will see the iPhone’s portrait-oriented screen and large black borders on both sides of the landscape-oriented TV. Whatever you’re doing on the iPhone is mirrored on the TV. This is great for allowing people to follow what you’re doing on the phone in a classroom setting or in a tutorial.What it doesn’t do so well, and it’s not necessarily the fault of the adapter itself, is display video from apps such as Hulu or Netflix. Basically anything protected by HDCP copyright protection won’t display. This isn’t unique to the adapter, but it is a bit frustrating since you won’t get an error message on the phone. You’ll just get a spinning “loading” icon that looks like the network stalled. If your plan is to watch videos from subscription based apps on your phone, you’ll be much better off with a wireless casting solution such as AirPlay or Chromecast.

Great compact HDMI adapter for IphonesGreat compact adapter for your Iphones. Great for traveling and to quickly plug in your phone to mirror onto a big screen tv. My reason for the 4 star even though it does state in the description is that this adapter is not compatible with all the main apps such as Netflix, Hulu and YouTube, which I feel like severely limits the functionality of this device. However it is stated on the description so I can’t hit them too hard on this. But I do wish they can find a way around this to make this device that much more useful. But for everything else I would recommend this device.

Easy to use plug and play; No need for any additional software or cables.Ready to use right out of the box. I’m able to use my monitor through this HDMI Adapter. The ease of use makes this an absolute bargain!

Handy if you need to mirror your screen or share things to a larger groupIf you have ever wanted to mirror your phone to your TV without airplay issues, this will do it. Was a tad finicky at first but worked after I reset it. One caveat is that you can’t stream much anymore through this from outside media due to restrictions and that is a phone and media issue, not a hardware one. For some reason, the last two of these I have had that were Apple branded died after a year or two. I will see if this one holds up. If you need this type of converter though, you cannot beat that price. Good to have for traveling or work.
